Wednesday starts off with that 6-8” on the ground and the snow level at 500′. Wind on Tuesday will be W 10-15 early, swinging to SW 20-25 by 10am and SW 35-40 by 4pm. 4-.6” water value (WV) between 4pm Tuesday and 4am Wednesday, for 6-8” of champagne powder. The snow level will be at the surface at 4am, rising to 1000′ by 4pm. Tuesday starts off partly cloudy, with maybe some high clouds, becoming cloudy by 1pm with snow starting between 4pm and 7pm. Total snow blown out of Heather Canyon and into Gulch/Arena will be significant. Total snowfall today will be less than 1”. The NE wind will increase during the day today, becoming quite pesky this afternoon. Models show 5-10 this morning, and it’s already gusting to 35 at 7300′. As I mentioned yesterday, the NE wind is hard to predict. So, east wind orographic snow flurries this morning (at least it’s something different and interesting!), with clearing skies by noon. Hood, but apparently the weather didn’t feel like agreeing with the forecast. I think we were all hoping we’d wake up to a clear, sunny day on Mt.
